Dear Clients & Friends,
As you all know, Socially Responsible Investing is the law of the land here at
MORWM. We are also a B Corp, which means that we put people and planet
above profit. In keeping with these ideals, we strive to make our daily
operations as easy on our planet as we can. For example, we recycle our
coffee pods, use environmentally friendly dish and hand soap, and house our
Philadelphia HQ in a LEED Gold building.
Good news, MORWM Family! You’re already helping the planet…
The great thing about our clients (you) is that they try to do everything
possible in order to create a positive environmental impact. As of April 2023,
78% of our clients are enrolled in paperless delivery; this figure is up 7% from
a couple of years ago. Not too shabby!
Want to double-check your delivery preferences or enroll in paperless delivery?
Please see the instructions below. (We wish that we could do this for you as a
customer service, but the regulators do not allow us to choose your delivery
preferences.)
To check or update your paperless preferences:
Investor360 > Settings
Please note:
1. Each account owner needs to do this separately.
2. If we’ve opened a new account for you recently, you need to enroll that
account in paperless delivery – it will not happen automatically.
3. If you need help, please email your friendly neighborhood MORWM Ops
Team!
Want to stick with traditional paper statements? We get it. There is something
satisfying about having a physical copy of your correspondence. Remember,
copies of your statements, confirms, tax forms, etc. can also be found on your
Investor360 portal.
DocuSign
The use of e-signature platforms like DocuSign has become vital in the last
couple of years, and we’re grateful for your long-standing acceptance of this
method of signing paperwork. We all know that it’s a safe and timely way to
conduct business. What you might not be aware of is the positive impact that
you’ve had on the environment.
Just by using DocuSign and paperless delivery, we estimate that the MORWM
family of clients has saved the following over the last twelve months:
Arbor Day is April 28th
Do you know Arbor Day was first celebrated? That’s right: 1872. Click HERE
for more Arbor Day Trivia.
What else could you do?...
If you’d like to offset your paper statements, or if you just feel like doing our
planet a favor, please consider planting a tree. Over the span of his career,
Matt has planted 139 trees in honor of clients’ life events. We often use A
Living Tribute – they plant trees in national forests throughout the United
States. We’d be happy to facilitate the tree planting process for you if you’d
like.
Looking for an Earth-friendly gift idea for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day? Check
out our past Giving with Purpose lists for ideas. Many of the companies are
Earth-friendly, and all of them are community-focused. Earthday.org also has a
lot of great ideas about ways in which you can honor our planet.
As for the Killeens, we’ve made a couple of changes at our house. We will be
getting our first hybrid car in a few weeks. We signed up for a composting
service last year, and we just received our first batch of compost to use in the
garden. In the Hauser Levinson household, Dan and his wife are striving to
avoid single use plastic. He’s loving a saran-wrap alternative, which is made of
beeswax. Devin is a big fan of Zac Efron’s Netflix series “Down to Earth,”
which focuses on sustainable living.
How will you celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day this year? Will you get an
electric car? Clean up your local park? Change how you commute to work?
Plant a tree? We would love to hear from you!
Enjoy the weekend, and remember to get out there and take some deep
breaths.
Best Regards,
Amy
