Dear Clients and Friends,
Welcome to our 10th annual Giving with Purpose gift guide! When Amy and I thought of doing this for the first time almost a decade ago (yikes!) our intention was to highlight companies that provide both great products and service to society. While much has changed in the last ten years, some things haven't - our commitment to the community and to giving back remains strong. Thus, every year the MORWM team collects 10 companies to shine a spotlight on during the holiday season. Many of these companies are B Corps like MORWM is, and all of them believe in great quality products and giving back to the community in some way. Nothing beats giving a great gift - except for giving a great gift that also helps others. Happy Holidays, and happy shopping!

The Sak
The Sak is a B Corp that offers bags, shoes, and other accessories. They “…use 100% sustainable materials” which are made from plastics that would otherwise end up in the ocean. They “pledge to use 100% biodegradable packaging by 2027.” In addition, their team in Bali does an annual beach cleanup: “As a company, we have cleaned up over 1800lbs of plastic to date, preventing it from entering the ocean.”

Sijo
Sijo is a B Corp that specializes in a good night’s sleep. Specialty bedding and luxury sleepwear (including cooling pajamas!) is made of materials “that are not only high-quality and high-performance, but are also ethically grown and manufactured, and environmentally efficient.” “1% of every SIJO purchase is donated to a nonprofit of your choice.” Beneficiaries include World Central Kitchen, One Tree Planted, scholarships and violence prevention programs.

Roads Rivers and Trails
If you’re the outdoorsy type, look no further than this certified B corp. Sneakers, clothing, camp gear, tents, kayaks, car racks – all this and more is on offer at Roads Rivers and Trails. In addition, “RRT has committed to donate at least 1% of our revenues to local not for profit environmental organizations.”

Cooks Who Feed
Love to cook? Cooks Who Feed “believe the joy of cooking can create a world without hunger. That's why every beautiful, durable apron we sell is ethically made and provides 100 meals to people in need.” “All of our kitchen linens have a meal giveback, providing meals to those in need. Over 25% of our profits go to our charity partners to help feed those suffering from food insecurity.” Also a B Corp!

Town Hall Outdoor Co
“Town Hall Outdoor Co was started in Steamboat Springs, Colorado by parents who wanted better, more sustainable choices in kids’ clothing.” This B Corp specializes in outdoor clothing such as jackets, winter pants, hoodies, and more. They even have a quiz to help you find the perfect jacket – who doesn’t love an online quiz?

Stick and Ball
Stick and Ball, a B Corp, produces “bespoke leather goods, apparel and home decor that enlighten and inspire our clients.” “At Stick & Ball, we thoughtfully design each piece using the finest sustainable materials from around the world. By collaborating with skilled artisans, we help preserve centuries-old craft traditions while supporting fair wages through cooperatives and other organizations.”

Equality Vines
“Equality Vines is the world’s first cause wine portfolio dedicated to equality for all people… Equality Vines presents a collection of limited-release, premium wines to benefit organizations working toward equality for all.” Trish and Matt got to visit when they were out in California and loved everything they tasted!

Dog Tag
This bakery gives back to the veterans who have so dutifully served our country. “Our business serves as a living business school to empower veterans, military spouses, and caregivers to find renewed purpose and community after serving our nation through an entrepreneurial fellowship program. When you visit the bakery, send a gift box, share our story, or make a donation, you invest in the military community we serve.” Gift boxes ship nationwide!

Free Fly
This B Corp specializes in “crafting famously comfortable outdoor apparel—innovating with bamboo and other natural materials to build seriously soft sunwear.” In seeking their B Corp certification, “we prioritized our environmental management practices—focusing on energy usage, water conservation, supply chain waste, and biodegradable materials.”

Pela
Take a good look at your phone case. Is it time for a new one? (If your name is Kirsten Warner, the answer is yes, your case is really falling apart!) Pela’s phone cases are made with “flax shive and a plant based biopolymer which break down naturally without harming the environment.” “More than one million people have switched to Pela, which equates to 966,739 pounds of plastic that was prevented from entering the waste stream.” In addition, this B Corp “donated over $1 million to help non-profit/for purpose organizations leave the planet better than how we found it.”
As always, we would really love to hear if you found this guide helpful, and if you chose any of these companies to purchase from! Happy Holidays from the whole team here at MOR Wealth Management!
